Get Involved!
We are grateful to all who help make nourishment a priority for underserved neighborhoods in Greater Kansas City. We encourage you Get Involved in by volunteering, giving financial support and providing your ideas to extend the program. We invite you to direct your giving to Beans&Greens projects that are most meaningful to your interests. The following describes three donation opportunities.
Matching Dollars Fund
This fund directly supports the matching program that effectively doubles purchasing power for buying local produce at participating farmers’ markets. Residents that benefit from these matching funds include young families and seniors that have food assistance benefits from:
Farmers’ Market Capacity Building Fund
In general, farmers' markets have few dollars available for operational and capital needs such as marketing, advertising, signage, computers, printers, tokens, and point of sale machines.
Dollars from this fund: 1) help each market enhance their level of operations and 2) increase awareness of the Beans&Greens program in each market’s neighborhood.
Mobile Market Fund
This fund supports the Mobile market for truck maintenance, refrigeration equipment, gas, insurance, advertising and outreach.
